Name: Anjuu
Age: 182 years.
Village: Kirigakure, previously Konoha.
Abilities:
Translated to the Nirvana Eye, the Nehangan is a doujutsu taking place in both of the clan member's eyes. It allows them, when activated, to suggest hypnotic mental signals to the opponent to place two different effects, which they choose by their outcoming chakra signature. The first of these effects is the ability to soothe others and calm them. They can turn a wild beast in a cuddle ball of fur, or a ninja hot on their trail into a passer-by. They hold the ability to suppress emotions of rage and violence in others, and this makes them extremely useful diplomats. However, if the user has an incredibly strong will, this ability will have no effect.
The second ability is the ability to suppress pain when eye contact is made by suggesting a different signal of hypnosis. The body virtually feels no pain what-so-ever, however wounded they may get. The body isn't numb, they just plain don't feel anything due to the incredibly strong signal of hypnosis. Most would see this as a benefit, but the clan members use it to their advantage; while under these effects, an enemy doesn't notice they're wounded and can keep fighting as normal, however the body is still wounded; they just don't feel it. Also, it makes genjutsu a -lot- harder to escape; the enemy can no longer escape by causing themselves pain.
The third ability that comes with the eyes is that like most doujutsu, it allows the clan member to see the inner chakra network of an enemy. This goes hand in hand with the final ability, the ability to absorb chakra through physical contact. The clan member will trap the enemy in a genjutsu, and wait until they try and perform a jutsu. With their eyes being able to see the pent up chakra, they match the strength of the chakra with their own and make physical contact to break the link between tenketsu for a split second, releasing chakra like when a bubble pops. They then absorb this ''loose chakra'' and add it to their own stores. They can not absorb chakra right off the bat, though. They must wait until chakra is being built up for use in a jutsu, making this risky. However, if it succeeds, the chakra flow is broken for that split second which effectively cancels out the jutsu about to be performed.
Not an ability as much as an advantage, another thing about the eye is that the user almost instantaneously knows when they're inside of a genjutsu. All they have to do is look at themselves and see the chakra disturbance. They can use the ''loose chakra'' technique as noted before to break the disturbed chakra, causing a great deal of pain and breaking the disruption to effectively free themselves from genjutsu. Keep in mind the clan has a strict no-taijutsu policy, other than the basics that every ninja should know. They are also against ninjutsu unless it is used to save oneself from harm.
The clan is full of pacifists other than a very few, making them excellent medical ninja because they can dull pain and soothe the emotions of others, making them more calm and stable to raise morale and keep them level-headed and pain tolerant.
Jutsu: It really has no jutsu, as the kekkei genkai is mainly an eye transformation. It's pretty much abilities and not jutsu. However, any jutsu can be used to an advantage -because- of the kekkei genkai.
Clan History: The clan's first recorded user of the Nehangan was Kouza. It was unknown how he came about to receive the bloodline; it was almost as if the man appeared from no particular place at all. He traveled the land as a sage of peace, wandering from villages to entire countries and hidden villages themselves to settle things through words through various factions. His mysterious eyes held a secret that could calm even the most fiery warriors of the land; his eyes hold the Nehangan. Using the Nehangan, he would agree to meet with diplomatic parties and settle disputes, using his calming hypnotism to bring both sides to an agreement of peace. He was known far and wide for his skills with words and his mysterious eyes.
He would eventually marry a woman only for the sake of carrying on the legacy of the eyes; he had a big family of eight children, each one producing the same eyes as he at some point. With continuing generations prospering, the clan was soon populated enough that they needed an actual place to stay. They were gping to settle in the hidden mist village, had it not been for the massacres of all kekkei genkai that were known of, they would have. They instead settled in Konoha for a time, continuing to prosper and serve the village as medical ninja. Pacifists by nature, they soon discovered they had several ways to defend themselves through proper training. As the years went by, situations in the Mist village had come to a peaceful halt.
Taking their leave of Konoha to journey to where they would feel most at home, they have recently moved into the hidden mist village and make their humble home there. They never truly felt like they could belong in Konoha, and felt that if another uprising should ever occur in the Mist village, they could be the ones to stop it. The clan continues to prosper to this day, having no great number of people but enough to make them recognized; however, their kekkei genkai is rarely seen and is shrouded in a cloud of mystery.
Clan Hierarchy: There is only one branch to the clan, so it has no real heirarchy other than having a single leader elected by a council of five elders.
