personality: Kouza is a big squishy person at heart. He's incredibly kind, generous, and courteous to everyone he meets. He speaks in a very polite tone to everyone, and hardly ever throws insults unless they're intelligent. He has a kind thing to say to everybody, and in almost any circumstance he believes in the old saying of ''if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all''. He's a man that leaves a positive mark on everyone he meets, and he's incredibly gentle. Most would squish a fly or spider; he'd just let it out of a window.
Mercy is the name of the game, and Kouza follows it by the book. Kouza has never killed anything in his entire life if it was by his choice, and he never grew comfortable with the sight of blood. It is no doubt that he has a fear of large amounts of blood. Getting back on the mercy subject, he cannot bring himself to kill anyone, as he never has before unless he was forced to by his mission objective. He leaves the killing up to his partner unless it is absolutely necessary he does so himself, and even then it would most likely scar him for life. He thinks much of every single life in the world; be it an insect crawling across a tree, or an enemy ninja darting straight for him.
Toward his friends he's very loyal, supportive, and a great listener and counselor. He can also be a funny guy, but all in all he's a great friend. To his enemies, he's one of the biggest and surprisingly lethal annoyances they'd ever have to cross. He can think on his feet, he's a strategist through and through, and most of all his support techniques make both he and his partner a lot more deadly than they usually are.

fighting style: Kouza is a long-range fighter, through and through. When forced to fight, he uses his genjutsu to his advantage and waits for his opponent to try and conjure up a jutsu, then moves in close and uses his kekkei genkai to short it out and absorb a small portion of the chakra, then quickly retreat. He wears down his enemies over time, and only seriously fights if it's for his life. He hates harming any human being, but will defend himself with violence if he has to.
He is also great at fighting as a support, using his genjutsu to entrace his enemy while his partner attacks. He is also a very skilled medical ninja with an incredible knowledge of human anatomy, allowing him to use senbon and the chakra scalpel jutsu to their maximum effect. When acting as a medical ninja, he tends to retreat and allow his partner to handle things, often only attacking as support and otherwise healing.

It all started twenty three years ago in the village of Kirigakure. A baby had been born to a mother and father, and as the two stared at each other with glee they couldn't seem to decide what to name him. Thinking back in their clan's history, they had wished for their son to become a great ninja; they named him Kouza, after the founder of the Clan's Kekkei Genkai. Seemingly accepting the name before drifting off to sleep, baby Kouza would have a long, tough road ahead of him to become what his parents, and eventually he himself, wanted to be. Some say the road to shinobi greatness is paved with the greatest difficulties one could ever consider; even then they are speaking lightly of the matter.
As Kouza grew, his father and mother both being great ninja had decided to enter him into the academy as soon as possible. However, before even that would come to pass, they decided to train him themselves to make him a cut above the rest before he even entered the academy. His father was a skilled illusionist, while his mother took the shinobi path in a different direction and was a skilled medical ninja. Both fields required incredible chakra control, and so it would be that the teaching would start with chakra. Listening intently for one so young, Kouza did exactly as his parents instructed and soon became a natural with chakra; by the time he was six he was walking on walls and sprinting across water.
After learning about the wonders of chakra, he would then begin to learn heavily about anatomy and the workings of genjutsu from both parents, making him equally skilled in medical techniques and genjutsu. After learning all he could from his parents past those points and beyond, the time soon came where he was of the ripe young age to be admitted into the academy. After demonstrating his skills, he was immediately accepted. As it would come to pass, he soon learned about ninjutsu as well, but the concept wasn't hard to grasp for himself as he already had the required chakra control to do it. He was already using his first elemental release before he even graduated the academy; water. With his skill and expertise, after one year short of the normal time required to be in the academy he would graduate (meaning he graduated a year early) and be placed into a team.
While he was ridiculed for not only being an illusionist, but being younger than his squadmates, he continued to outshine them at every opportunity he could; not because he was a lone wolf, but because the entire time he was with them he basically proved them wrong. They would go on a great deal of missions together, and again it would come time for promotion; the chuunin exams. Excited yet also a worry-wart, Kouza didn't think he was good enough to pass at his current level. Shutting himself away from his sensei and team-mates, he trained at home other than when he was required for missions, dedicating day and night to perfecting his skills. As it turned out, he did pass the chuunin exams with flying colors; to his very own amazement he'd over-trained, completely aweing the crowds in the finals.
Using a high ranked medical technique, he unveiled the chakra scalpel against a taijutsu opponent. Maneuvering through his swift blows, he managed to twist around to his back and slice the hamstrings of the ninja, effectively immobilizing him and ending the fight just twenty minutes after it had started. He'd taken a few hits, sure, but the most deadly hits were the ones he avoided. The sight of seeing a genin use chakra scalpel made him recognized as a prodigy to many, especially medical ninja; his knowledge of anatomy and striking -precisely- at the hamstrings was an even more amazing feat. He was promoted to chuunin one year earlier than most, and it was at this time he split himself away from his team and refused to work with them, only working with others that had been on different teams than he.
Continuing to improve his skills and swift his way through missions, it wouldn't be long until Kirigakure's special forces caught notice of him. His first record with them was his amazing display at the chuunin exams, and now his rate of early promotion and mission success (he had no failed missions and took missions above his suggested rank) made him a clear target for recruitment. Recruited he was and serve he did as he was partnered up with one person. During his time in the special forces, he still tried to hold off from killing and let his partner do it, only supporting as he was used to. Nevertheless, the special forces hadn't seen anything quite like him before; they were used to sword-wielding demons of shrouded mist, cutting down with efficiency and skill; not illusionists. It wouldn't be very much longer, only about two years, until he would reach jounin status and quit the special forces and their bloodthirsty ways.
Never being offered to take a team of his own, he was considered far too efficient to be babysitting; the hidden mist village wanted him solely for missions and nothing else. They left the babysitting to the other jounin mostly, indicating that Kouza was on an entirely different level. It wouldn't be long until he was forced to start taking missions that required assassinations; he didn't do this by choice, he did this only to keep the mist village safe (or so he thought) and protect his fellow villagers from harm. Eventually, it would come to pass that his life changing mission would be accepted; his old partner from the special forces had gone renegade, and he was tasked to find her and not allow her to take stolen goods and her own skills to wherever she was running to.
Reluctantly accepting, Kouza pursued the one woman he ever connected with on a romantic level; he was always so buried into his studies that he didn't take the time out for relationships. But through all their missions, the two had bloomed a romantic relationship toward each other; she had left and not said a word. When he did eventually find her, she would not listen to reason; she spoke a mere sentence or two and struck, forcing Kouza to defend himself. As Kouza fought her off, it wouldn't be long until he had her immobilized, and it was then that he realized that he was no longer a man of mercy but a tool of the mist village and nothing more. As he leaned down to pick her up, she took her own life with her sword from the special forces. Staying with her body long enough to give her a proper burial, he took her forehead protector and wore it along with his own to honor her memory. After the battle, he met a strange man at the scene, and after a brief conversation of dreams and amibitions he began to question his loyalty to the mist village, and began to re-assure his loyalty to the man.
That man was the leader of Teishuku No Kenpei.
