appearance:
Raiton Onitsuka wears his black hair short on top of his head. His bright green eyes are complements of his abusive, dead, father. Hidden beneath a loose fitting tank top, is a twelve pack abdomen. His biceps and triceps are quite defined, do to his training as a genin. His legs are of a normal thickness for his age of twenty-one years.

Over his white tank top he wears a black pyjama-like top that buttons up down the center. Over his left pectoral muscle he wears three, white, curved lines. That is his family’s Kamon. The top’s sleeves end just past his elbows. He doesn’t believe in ironing so his top has more creases than usual. His torso is the most muscularly toned.

Over the lower half of his body he wears a black pair of pants that end halfway down his shins. Once again he doesn’t belive in ironing so his pants have more creases than usual. Just above his knee (or patella) is his headband which he ties around his upper leg. He only wears it upon his forehead when sparring against the genin on his squad and at important social gatherings. Eg. Funerals and weddings.

Over his shins he wears a piece of black fabric, which is wrapped around his shins. This enables him to hide things like a pick-lock on him. The fabric is wrapped from the top of his shin to the arch of his foot. He also wears a pair of black, open toed shoes.

On missions he carries a large beige rucksack upon his back. When traveling to countries with a cooler climate, like Yuki no Kuni, he wears a beige cloak with three baby blue stripes. The cloak is supplied by the village and it’s rumoured that the stripes resemble what rank you are. The scars on his right forearm is a reminder of how child abuse can harm its victims.

personality:
Raiton is quite energetic for his age. This helps him to ‘connect’ with the younger Academy students. From a young age it was clear that he was a genius in Ninjutsu and statistics. He uses this skill to better his squad’s odds on missions by setting up a good tactical position for each of the genin and himself, based on their jutsu and strengths. He doesn’t believe in himself as much as he should, thanks to his dead, abusive father as he abused Rai as a child. Despite his lack of confidence in himself , he is quite brave and will take on a missing nin no matter what their rank is or was. A small amount of anger still resides in him, but he has full control of it. He’s loyal to all those he cares about. Namely his: village, family, and the Tsukage. He’s quite friendly to all of the village’s allies and his fellow shinobi from Iwagakure.

history:
Raiton was born on July the twenty-eighth. At first Raiton’s father thought that having a family would be fun, that is until he found out that his wife was having twins. When the two boys turned three their father changed forever for the worst. He began to abuse the two young boys.

When the two brothers were ten years old their father forced the two boys to attend the Academy. For years they had to lie about their bruises claiming they were training or had fought each other the night before. Two years later both he and his brother attempted the graduation exams with their father sitting attentively at the back of the room. His brother graduated at the top of the class and recived no beatings as he executed the technique perfectly. While Raiton graduated second to last in the class and received numerous beatings as well as a hard training session with his father to perfect the technique. It was that day that he got the scars on his right arm, and for some strange reason they grew longer as his arm did.

Raiton was placed on the same squad as his twin brother and a girl named Mizuki. As a squad they completed several missions together and soon qualified for the Chunin exams. Throughout his days as a genin his father kept abusing him and his brother. The only time he felt like a normal kid was when he was when he was with Mizuki, his brother, and his Sensei.

Raiton, Mizuki, and his brother were the only genin from Iwagakure to become a chunin in the chunin exams. It was clear during their years as chunin that his brother and Mizuki were developing feelings for each other so he gave them some space and time alone together. Little did he know that giving them time alone together would be both the worst and best thing he could have done for his brother.

When he was sixteen his brother and Mizuki took him to a restaurant. They sat him down and told him that he was going to be an Uncle. He was both ecstatic and scared. He was scared that his brother would get a beating for fathering a child, and then continue his pattern and abuse his grandchild as well as his sons. Once Mizuki and his brother had left he ran out of the restaurant to his parents place, a kuni knife in his hand. As soon as he found his father he grabbed his collar and slashed at him with the kuni. His last words to his father was: ‘You abused my brother and I! Now you’ll never meet your grandchild!’ He then started looking for his mother. To him at that moment she was as liable for the abuse as his father was as she allowed him to abuse her twin boys. Then he felt someone hug him and tear drops fall onto his shoulder. It was his mother. She soothed him saying ‘It’s all right you’re free... we’re all free from that horrible monster.’ He then dropped the kuni and hugged his mother, he was crying then. During that fragile moment his brother and Mizuki entered the room. Their eyes drifted from Rai, to the bloody kuni, then to the dead man on the floor. Almost immediately his brother knew what his brother had done and went to comfort him. Once he had gathered his emotions, the two brother’s ditched the body on a nearby ditch. They then sat their mother down and told her that she was going to be a grandmother. He was present for the birth of his nephew, Kiyoshi Onitsuka.

Two years later Mizuki and his brother got married. He had the honour of being his brother’s best man. Just before the newly wedded couple got to kiss a jonin ran in and told all shinobi that the village was under attack. His brother ran out of the church to help defeat the enemy and was killed within 20 meters of the front door. Raiton quickly gathered the civilians and children then organised an escort to the village’s safe place. Amungst the group of civilians and children was his new sister in law and his nephew. Once they were safe he ran off to aid his fellow shinobi. The next day he attended the funeral for those that had died during the attack. His nephew cried most the time and he helped Mizuki to sooth the crying boy. He was promoted to Jonin later that day.

For two years he went on missions on his own. He spent any of his spare time with Kiyoshi who was starting to grow up before his eyes. One day he was ordered to go to the Tushikage’s office. When he got there he found out that he wasn’t the only Jonin told to go there. He then realised that he was chosen as the leader of a genin squad. He was assigned to the team of Thantos Nerezza, Hitori, and Junzo. He tested them using the bell test to see what he had to work with, before he accepted them as his students. They have completed many missions as a team, enough to qualify for the Chunin exams.
