Visual Appearance:
Kujaku’s appearance can only be described as “ordinary, yet unique”. He has soft features, accented by kind doe-like eyes that appear to be a shade of dark chocolate and full lips. His skin is china-smooth and skirts a bit on the pale side, though he does not appear to be unhealthy in the slightest bit. The Kage’s build is rather feminine, but with enough muscle and definition to bump it into an androgynous category; his nails are always perfectly manicured, and his hair is immaculately brushed and put up every morning.
Much to the surprise of foreign diplomats and shinobi, Kujaku is actually a transvestite, choosing to garb himself in the robes of a rather western-style female. Rich gold and deep mahoganies make up the tones of his dress, the fabric draped elegantly in order to keep the top half of his chest bare. Two ornamental golden rings are pierced through his nipples, matching a delicately wrought necklace and earrings set that he wears at almost all times. Strangely, he still wears the normal shinobi sandals and bandages on his lower legs, though they are rarely seen as his dress covers up his lower body completely.
When forced to wear his Kage robes, Kujaku actually appears more feminine then normal, leading many to believe that the Tsuchikage is actually a woman. The traditional hat shadows his face, and the robe hides his lack of curves, giving him a mysterious, yet beautiful, aura.
« the PERSONA
Personality:
Surprisingly demure, yet cheery and full of life, Kujaku presents with a rather laid-back personality for a village leader. He is kind, outgoing, and rather witty, which conflicts horribly with the stereotypes of shinobi from his village, and oftentimes confuses foreigners. A pleasant individual, he is perfectly content to mingle freely with the rest of his village, never treating himself as anything more then a citizen of Iwagakure no Sato, and never lording his position.
Kujaku dislikes confrontation and war, and thus does everything in his power to keep Iwagakure neutral in conflicts. While his citizens are considered brutal and power-hungry by some, nothing could be farther from the truth; under Kujaku’s rule, the village has become more enlightened, more tolerant, and more intelligent as a whole.
His tastes run towards members of his own gender, but Kujaku has no difficulties relating to women. He loves nothing more then to go out with his female friends for the night and drink, gossip, and have a generally good time. While this occasionally interferes with his position as village leader, he tries to allow himself as much free time as his job will allow in order to keep himself relaxed and stress-free.
While he is innately peace-loving, there is no question that Kujaku knows how to command the forces of his village with an iron fist and shrewd strategy. He is an accomplished warrior, even more so to be able to hold his office with his eccentric nature, and can be incredibly cold and distant when situations call for such. While he dislikes senseless violence, he does not hesitate to defend his country if threatened, though actual battle is the last resort if he cannot work out disputes with diplomacy.
When angry, the man becomes a force to be reckoned with, unrelenting and fierce in his attacks and counters. He does not stand for anyone to raise a hand against his people, and will respond with brutal tenacity to any outward threat of force. Much like the spirit of the city he rules, Kujaku is unyielding once he sets his mind to something and tends to be a fiercely loyal ally, so long as his partner’s cause is just; he will never go to war for illegitimate or foolish reasons, and will oftentimes end up against any country that tries to convince him to do so.

« the HISTORY
History:
Born to a pair of Iwa shinobi, Kujaku’s early life was full of love and warmth. An only child, he was spoiled rotten and doted upon as a young boy, but somehow the sense of isolation and selfishness that should have resulted from such parenting never reared its ugly head, leaving the tiny Kujaku’s underdeveloped personality relatively intact throughout the years.
When he was accepted into the shinobi academy classes, his family was elated, and though the work was hard and difficult, he managed to pass through the class after a year of dedication to the subjects. As part of a genin team, he took on various missions, making his parents and his sensei proud. At the age of fifteen he and his teammates managed to complete the chuunin exams, and with heavy hearts they bid farewell to each other, each making their respective ways into the fields they so desired.
It was around that point in time that Kujaku began to realize that he was different then his peers; his odd behavior, dress patterns, and even the secrets of his heart seemed to be completely skewed for a boy of his age, and he was fearful of the obvious answer as to what his predicament was. It took years, but at age nineteen he finally managed to be honest with himself, and after a particularly successful mission, he was accepted as a jounin. Knowing that it was perhaps the best time to confront his supposed issues, he decided to confront his mother and father.
As he finally gained the confidence to come out to his parents, the two reacted poorly, disowning Kujaku and removing any evidence that they had ever had a son. The reaction crushed the young jounin, and he left home, turning to a close friend in order to find a place to stay; the two ended up becoming roommates for a time, in order to give both shinobi an easier place to live.
While the emotional turmoil upset a very good portion of his life, Kujaku’s dedication to his village remained unchanged, and he strived to push himself farther and farther, wanting to please the Kage and his superiors. He began to outshine his fellow jounin, and his hard work was eventually rewarded with a position in the Tsuchikage’s own personal team of trusted aides.
His abilities meant that he obtained rather difficult missions, placing him almost directly under the Tsuchikage on a semi-regular basis. While not quite motivated enough to be considered for ANBU status, Kujaku was instead highly decorated as a high jounin, serving as one of the Kage’s own personal guards for a time.
Alas, all good things were deemed to come to an end though, and the Kage began to grow older and older. When the time came for the aged man to finally pass on, it was deemed that Kujaku was an appropriate heir for the man’s legacy. Having worked so personally with the elder leader for such an extended period of time, the flamboyant man was considered the best for the position.
Three years later, he has managed to turn his beloved city into a neutral safe haven for refugees from the other villages’ wars. His citizens have prospered, the land has been at peace, and Kujaku finally can let out a sigh of relief, knowing that he has done right by the people, at least for now.
